Cucumdren® is a dry extract obtained from whole cucumbers grown in Sicily. A distinctive feature of this extract is the absence of added sugars due to its processing with a vegetable matrix based on amaranth, replacing the traditional maltodextrin.

Cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.)
The cucumber contains many minerals such as calcium, phosphorus, sulfur, manganese, sodium, iron, iodine, and is rich in potassium, which contributes to the proper functioning of muscles and the heart. Concentrated mainly in the peel, it also contains B-group vitamins (thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, folic acid), vitamin C, E, K, provitamin A, and antioxidant substances, which help to purify our body and keep it hydrated. The peel is also a good source of fiber, which promotes proper intestinal function and controls the absorption of cholesterol and sugars, thus helping to regulate blood glucose and cholesterol levels. Cucumber is characterized by a low-calorie intake and is considered a detox food, known for its purifying, detoxifying, and balancing properties for the body. Thanks to its high hydration capacity, it is particularly suitable for preventing dehydration caused by high temperatures and excessive sweating. Cucumber has a refreshing and purifying effect on the intestines and is a valuable ally for the renal system, promoting the elimination of excess fluids and toxins, and contributing to the prevention of kidney and bladder stones. The liver and pancreas also benefit from the properties of this raw material.
Amaranth (Amaranthus caudatus L.)
Amaranth seeds are rich in proteins and fibers and do not contain gluten. Highly digestible, they are useful for those suffering from intestinal disorders and are also ideal for the diet of children and the elderly. Amaranth contains a high amount of lysine and provides an excellent supply of iron, calcium, phosphorus, and magnesium. It also contains vitamin B and vitamin C, aspartic acid, arginine, serine, alanine, and glutamic acid. It has good quantities of amino acids, contains no saturated fats, has a low glycemic index, and represents a valid alternative to cereals.
