Eggplant (Solanum melongena L.)

The Perlina Eggplant® is primarily composed of water, very few lipids, and a high amount of fiber. Thanks to its rich supply of nutrients, it has a purifying effect that benefits the liver by stimulating bile production, thus providing advantages to the intestines and the pancreas as well. Due to its high water content, the eggplant also has diuretic and draining properties. Eggplant contains nasunin, an anthocyanin studied for its anti-inflammatory, antiviral, immunomodulatory, and even protective effects on brain cell membranes.
