Pink Grapefruit (Citrus paradisi) MacFad
Grapefruit is a true treasure trove of nutrients: it contains vitamins, minerals, and bioactive compounds that provide health benefits. As a source of vitamin C, it helps prevent damage caused by UV exposure, inhibits excessive melanin production, preventing dark spots, and lightens existing ones while stimulating collagen production. Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis L.)
Rosemary is a plant rich in flavonoids and tannins, as well as iron, calcium, and vitamin B6. Its leaves also contain rosmarinic acid, which is a powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory capable of protecting the brain from free radicals. Several studies have shown that rosmarinic acid has the ability to inhibit superoxide anion, a highly toxic and reactive free radical responsible for cellular oxidation. The anti-inflammatory activity of rosemary makes it an effective remedy for relieving joint pain and aiding the natural reabsorption of hematomas and/or swelling. Additionally, it exerts a spasmolytic activity on the smooth muscles of the small intestine and the bile ducts, complemented by a choleretic action.
